This little utility kills popup windows and advertisments in Internet Explorer. It kills them automatically. Once you installed it you can enjoy surfing the Internet without those annoying marketing items. PopupKiller also provides parental control. You can create a list of websites that you restrict, or in the contrary, only allow. The program also reports you what websites were visited. PopupKiller does not install any adware/spyware software. It accesses our webserver for an updated list of advertisment links. If you notice popup advertisments despite our PopupKiller please notify us about the site using the menu item provided for this. The problem will be fixed remotely. Please note that advertisments provided as images may appear in a page, but clicking on them will not load another window unless you hold down the left Ctrl key. PopupKiller starts automatically. The icon sits in the system tray. Right click on it to access the menu. You can turn off/on the automatic start, and activate/deactivate the program. You can also turn off the beep. Temporarily deactivation: hold down the Ctrl key while clicking on a link. Depending on your Internet Browser settings PopupKiller might prevent opening some linked web pages or downloading files (page not found message will occur). In these cases deactivate PopupKiller and activate it again after execution. When PopupKiller kills a window you may hear a beep and the icon´s color will blink. The deactivation will not affect website restrictions and advertisments displayed on a page. Extremely agressive advertisments running in child windows may be killed together with their parent. These preventive actions can be bypassed only by unchecking the Active menu. PopupKiller is free. In fact, you are encouraged to send it to others. It provides a one click email notification sent to your friends. |

Kana PopCloser is a Windows program which can be used to monitor opened browser window. If the window is in Kana PopCloser database, then it can be closed automatically. Kana PopCloser currently detects 4 browsers: Microsoft Internet Explorer, Netscape, Mozilla, and Opera. It detects based on browser class and browser title. The title can be configured, so it will also work on customized browser. NOTE: If you are using Mozilla or Opera in tabbed mode, DO NOT use this program. Kana PopCloser cannot close specific tab on those browsers, instead, it will close the main browser window which contains all tabs. Features: * Can detect Microsoft Internet Explorer, Netscape, Mozilla, and Opera. * The monitored browser title can be configured, so it will work with customized browser such as the browser from ISP. * Only monitor browser window and only displays browser window title on active window box. * The monitored title can include wildcard. * The database is saved into text file for easy management. * Play sound file when the popup window is closed. Sound file can be customized. * Can play notification through PC speaker if sound card is not available. * Can assign shortcut to enable/disable popup monitoring. * Can assign shortcut to display main window. * Can hide the tray icon so reducing the clutter in system tray. * Monitor the last closed window title. * Can log the closed title into file. |

Audience: For iPod / Windows PC owners with a “smart” mobile (with MMC/SD slot).
Intro: This is a guide on how to convert your existing (and probably extensive) iTunes music library into a format that you can play from your mobile.
iPod* owners everywhere have probably spent many long laborious hours importing all the albums from their CD collections into the iTunes* music library on their PC.
This is not something you will readily want to repeat from scratch with the Nokia Audio Manager (or equiv.) to get your music accessible from your mobile.
Fortunately, there is an alternative offered through the many different music file conversion utilities available on the 3rd party software market. For the purposes of this guide, we will be using the range of utilties available from dbPowerAMP.com .
First of all, you have to find out what the Target format is for the music files you want to convert.
This willdepend on the type of mobile you own.
.MP3 file format is appropriate for the following mobiles: Siemens SX1, Siemens SL45, Sharp GX-30, Nokia 6600 (with 3rd party MP3 player), motorola A920/925..
.AAC file format is the preference for the following (although they can all play .MP3 as well): Nokia 6230, Nokia n-Gage, Nokia 7610, Nokia 3650, Nokia 3300..
.WMA file format is the preference for any of the available windows-based smartphones: Orange SPV / E200, Motorola mpx200, O2 XDAII..
There are other alternatives like .AMR, and .OGG format (Ogg Vorbis standard), but are less common. (Ogg players are available for the symbian-based mobiles like Nokia 6600, Siemens SX1, Nokia n-Gage ). AMR is a lower quality encoding standard, not likely to satisfy all but the least demanding of music listeners (but it is useful for providing short mono voice recordings on mobiles).
Some mobiles are capable of playing a variety of different music file formats (Nokia 6230 can play .aac, .mp3, .amr)
In this case, if you are not too bothered about the portability aspect of your music, then descending order of preference is probably:
AAC -> WMA -> MP3 -> AMR.
